This USD 20 million project was awarded by the Saudi Arabian Mining Company to RM Servicios Integrales de Ingeneiría to design transfer
towers and belt conveyors for bulk minerals. The 240-meter conveyer belt needed to be designed to American standard codes in
The use of STAAD.Pro delivered benefits early in the project. It automated the adherence to required design codes, and its interoperability
with other software for plan production saved the company significant time and money. The successful design currently serves as an
international industry reference for RM Servicios Integrales de Ingeneiría.
Regis Resources, a Perth-based gold production and exploration company, awarded Mintrex the engineering and procurement contract for
the gold processing plant at the AUD 113 million Garden Well Gold Project in Duketon, Western Australia. The plant had twice the capacity
of a prior project, but was delivered on a shorter design schedule – just 24 weeks from design to construction.
Mintrex used a zero-based design approach to deliver just what was required. Using Bentley products allowed information to be imported
from other companies without expending additional resources. Transferring 3D models from Structural Modeler directly to the shop detailer,
who used ProSteel, shortened the lead time to produce shop detailed drawings. Bentley Navigator provided up-to-date i-model review
between disciplines and the client, ensuring no unnecessary extras were included in the design.
