This DKK 1 million project involved registering approximately 850 kilometers of roads in Bentley Map for the municipality of Svendborg,
Denmark. Data on center lines, road widths, coating types, road signs, and other features were recorded in the Danish layer model and
stored in a SQL spatial database. This enabled the municipality to access the data in Bentley Map as well as via other GIS systems.
Accurate registration of the road data saves time and resources when pulling information needed to perform road maintenance. Data can
be easily exported to spreadsheets for contractor access. Bentley Map Mobile allows personnel to access data from the field, even when
they are offline. The efficiencies introduced by this project will ensure that project costs are recouped within two years.
For this INR 10 million project, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) created a Web-based database for viewing all assets in the
Navi Mumbai area, located in Maharashtra, India. This online system has improved property tax collection for the municipal corporation.
With optimized project delivery costs, NMMC achieved project payback within a six-month period.
The project involved the collection of survey data for more than 350,000 properties, import of differential global positioning system (DGPS)
survey data for 172 square kilometers, and integration with existing and planned infrastructure data. From this data, NMMC created an
urban base map, contour maps, infrastructure maps, and a database using GIS/DGPS technology. Using Bentley Map reduced design time,
improved the level of precision, and accelerated the generation of drawings, profiles, and reports.
