Innovation in Construction
The goal of this RUB 6 million joint project by PI JSC and the V T Lenaeroproekt Research Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, was to implement
a single, integrated environment that would provide systems engineering data management and manage electronic engineering design
documentation. Production activities at V T Lenaeroproekt Research Institute include a wide range of development work for the construction
and reconstruction of airport facilities.
Project Wise Explorer Mobile was chosen as the platform for the transition to electronic document management. The software enabled
third-party developers to integrate services for the design of the system and subsystem, and development of components. Project Wise
also monitored shared access to data on the project, and provided general access to the data for the partners of the project, resulting in

Dudley Square Municipal Building
The goal of this USD 98 million project was to provide Boston, Massachusetts, with a world-class structure as well as a data-rich
environment to manage it. An integral element in the revitalization of a once-thriving section of Boston, the Dudley Square Municipal
Building is situated at the intersection of major auto, mass transit, and pedestrian thoroughfares. The construction also encompassed the
integration of three existing historic structures.
Shawmut Design and Construction used Project Wise to create a more interactive and aggressive approach to multidiscipline collaboration
at key points in the project. As project-specific information became available and was finalized throughout construction, processes were
catalogued for future reference, allowing the owner to not only access and review it during the project, but also to use it for the operations
and maintenance of the building in the future.
