This housing, gallery, and office development project in a prominent location on the banks of the Spandau Shipping Canal in Berlin, Germany,
presented a challenge in terms of collaboration among architecture, structural design, and building services. The exchange of data in DGN,
DWG, and DXF formats was necessary to ensure the interdisciplinary collaboration of all participants of the Kunst Campus project.
MicroStation PowerDraft enabled Carsten Roth Architekt to execute the complex construction project from concept to construction-readiness rapidly and effectively. A 3D model of the project was produced quickly, and an integrated Web server enabled all designers to
have easy access to the current designs. The software provided a smooth exchange of architectural and structural data so internal technical
requirements could be clarified expediently.
The warehouse of spent and fresh catalysts in Russia is part of a large petrochemical enterprise whose goal for this project was to increase
the volume of primary production and reduce any harmful impact on the environment. The project also aimed to reduce the adverse
environmental impact of chemical product storage on employee health.
Bashgiproneftekhim used Bentley PlantSpace, Project Wise, and Structural Modeler, which together enabled the project designers to carry
out parallel operations, shortening not only the time for implementing the project, but also the time needed to correct detected clashes. The
timely detection and correction of conflicts during the design reduced risks during the construction phase.
