of participation in a cable-stayed bridge project tender, Taesung S&I needed to review the costs for various alternatives within a short time.
This pre-feasibility study involved 3D model creation, cost calculation, and quantity extraction for a long-span cable bridge in South Korea.
Using MicroStation for 3D modeling and STAAD.Pro for structural analysis, Taesung S&I was able to calculate more exact quantities and
consider more accurate cost estimates for diverse design alternatives. Bentley software allowed various options to be evaluated and
revised, so the total project cost could be reduced. In this case, the estimated cost was KRW 115 million.
