Jeff Thurston has written extensively about the use of spatial information hardware and software in a multi-disciplinary
fashion. His current focus is upon advancing the use and application of 3D in the architecture, engineering, and construction
(AEC) sectors; the use of 3D design and visualization in industry together with 3D simulation; and modeling for infrastructure
performance. Thurston understands the use of geographic information systems (GIS) extensively, as well as their relationship
to CAD-based design tools and applications. Interested in advanced spatial integraton that includes remote sensing, robotics,
simulation, modeling, and design, his writing targets young entrepreneurs starting companies and businesses that wish to
achieve new knowledge and value-added approaches. Thurston is a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists.
