Andrew Roscoe | Power & Water Editor, MEED
Andrew Roscoe is the Power & Water editor for MEED, based in Dubai, U.A.E. Roscoe joined MEED in February in 2010 as a
construction reporter and has been the Power & Water editor since January 2013. He reports, analyzes, and comments on all
aspects of the power and water sectors in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the political economy of Kuwait.
In 2013, Roscoe wrote the MENA Power Report for MEED’s research division, MEED Insight. The 250-page report provided
analysis and forecasting for the power sectors across the region. He has an honours degree in politics and international
relations from the University of Aberdeen, located in Scotland.
Helena Russell | Editor, Bridge Design & Engineering
Helena Russell is editor of Bridge Design & Engineering, the only international magazine focused on the bridge industry. She
held this post for 16 years of her 20-year career working in business-to-business publishing. During this time, she expanded
the brand to incorporate numerous additional printed publications and directories, a website, digital editions, and social
media networks. Russell is the author of three books: one about the project management of the Oresund Fixed Link between
Denmark and Sweden, and two company history books that focused on the U.K. contractor Cleveland Bridge and the U.S.
consultant Hardesty & Hanover.
She started her career as a site engineer with Laing Civil Engineering before beginning a career in journalism with New Civil
Engineer (NCE). Russell earned a degree in civil engineering from Imperial College, in London, U.K.
Tom Sawyer | Senior Editor, Engineering News-Record

Monica Schnitger | President, Schnitger Corporation
Monica Schnitger is founder and president of Schnitger Corporation. She has been quoted in publications such as Automotive
Design and Production, Business Week Online, Forbes, Information Week, Mechanical Engineering, Wards Auto World, and
Washington Technology, and has appeared on American Public Media’s Marketplace. Schnitger has more than 25 years of
experience in engineering and CAD/CAM and has held positions as a senior vice president of market analysis at Daratech,
in software development management at Computervision Corporation, and as an engineer at Bath Iron Works. She holds a
bachelor’s degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an honors
M.B.A. from the F. W. Olin School of Management at Babson College.
