The Skyway Wastewater Treatment Plant in Burlington, Canada, provides wastewater treatment for approximately 180,000 people. The goal
of this CAN $158 million project, which is part of the Green Infrastructure Fund program to improve the environment and lead to a sustainable
economy, was to return 140 million liters of treated water per day (MLD) back into the environment, up from the current operating capacity
of 118 MLD.
CH2M HILL managed all data and information using Project Wise within a BIM environment consisting of AECOsim Building Designer, Bentley
Descartes, InRoads, MicroStation, Bentley Navigator, Bentley OpenPlant, Bentley PlantSpace, and Bentley Raceway and Cable Management.
This ensured consistency across the project so that models shared a common data definition across the more than 13 facilities and
underground network of piping and utilities.
