This INR 300 million project designed and constructed a 31-kilometer pipeline from the Perugamani region in India to an NTPL rising main
(force main). The goal was to complete the design with no engineering inaccuracies that would have to be corrected in the construction
phase of the pipeline. The challenge was the varied topography and the need to maintain optimum water pressure during the water pipeline
The Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board used WaterGEMS to model the hydraulic distribution system using advanced
interoperability, geospatial model building, optimization, and asset management tools. HAMMER was used to identify, manage, and
mitigate the risks associated with transients. Project delivery time was reduced by 30 percent, project delivery costs were reduced by 20
percent, and operational costs were reduced by 20 percent.

The goal of this BRL 55 million project was to create an integrated metropolitan water system. The Parelheiros reservoir supplies water to
450,000 inhabitants of São Paulo, Brazil. The Grajaú reservoir consists of a circular tank and two water booster stations – one for the upper
zone and a newer one for the Parelheiros reservoir.
Sabesp used WaterCAD for the hydraulic analysis of the two water supply networks. WaterGEMS significantly reduced the time spent
obtaining data from the field. The data was transferred to the main office through SCADA and GIS. Because both systems interfaced with
WaterGEMS, operational data, water demand, and cadastre information were loaded in the hydraulic model instantaneously.
