The design of the Karanjade water supply system encompassed 75 hectares of supply and sewerage networks in Navi Mumbai, India. The
goal of this INR 10 million project was to simulate network behavior in congested areas in order to mitigate risk before construction of the
facilities began. In addition to risk management, the project sought to proactively resolve complex regulatory compliance issues.
WaterGEMS offered the innovative approach that CIDCO was seeking by providing pre-defined queries, scenarios, and alternatives, along
with excellent representation of design/simulation outcomes. Due to the large number of pipes required, network model calculations using

Improving Network and Plant Management Through the Utilization of Mathematical Models
The goal of this EUR 150,000 project in Verona, Italy, was to distinguish carefully among the various available mathematical models of
simulation so the modeling activity was focused on creating an accurate physical model of the network in MicroStation rather than a simple
CREA utilized technology to reduce the design costs by a factor equal to 40-50 percent, especially in the case of numerous load conditions.
Using the management optimization model, CREA has saved 15-20 percent of the total costs for electricity expenses in pumping plants.
When compared to the other options, the optimized design will save millions of euros.
