Pre-engineered buildings typically are prefabricated and assembled on site, resulting in significantly reduced construction/erection time and
costs. The challenge for this INR 80 million project – a fatty acid plant in Haridwar, India – was to design, fabricate, and erect a complex
48-meter-high structure with such efficient use of resources that the company clearly demonstrated an edge over other pre-engineered
Wipro Enterprises used STAAD.Pro to model a structure that would be one of the tallest steel structures in northern India. Because the
design was vetted within STAAD.Pro itself, the company began fabrication and erection sooner. By providing four-node plates in
STAAD.Pro, diaphragm action of the RCC slab could be considered, resulting in lighter-weight steel joists. Wipro Enterprises was able to
use 10 percent less steel as a result of using STAAD.Pro.

The unique engineering challenges of this particular project included the joint connections at the intersection points of the polygon frames
