Plessey International retained Jarlsø Telecom Solution Norway to design and manufacture three-legged lattice, self-supporting telecom
towers in Maputo, Mozambique. The USD 1.5 million project required the 26- to 50-meter-tall towers to be constructed in as little time
and with as small a footprint as possible. Information mobility was critical to assure flexibility on the input side and freely manageable
information on the output side.
Jarlsø Telecom Solution Norway’s use of S TAAD.Pro and S TAAD.Foundation reduced project delivery time by enabling efficient engineering
and improving production time. The rapid finite element analysis provided the opportunity for fast response time to technical challenges.
Since the current data and models can be reused later, any future upgrade on the structures can be handled easily, reducing engineering
hours and increasing efficiency.
The INR 2.43 million school building was a public-utility project that would revitalize a Navi Mumbai, India, community. CIDCO’s goal was to
use the latest technology to not only reduce environmental hazards in the construction phase, but also to reduce the overall impact on the
ecosystem anywhere in the school’s vicinity. Adhering to a tight schedule while maintaining quality was critical.
CIDCO used STAAD products for the structural analysis and design of every element of the school structure. By deploying a platform that
enabled the integration of a range of software (STAAD, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office), CIDCO significantly reduced the design time of the
project. Manual iterations during the feasibility stage alone would have caused delays.
