The scope of this INR 24. 99 billion project awarded to India Technocrat by the National Highways Authority of India primarily involved
upgrading the existing national highway section of NH 69 in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to a four-lane roadway. The main objective
of the project was to provide safe and efficient service levels to growing traffic movements and better connectivity to the region.
India Technocrat used Bentley MXROAD and STAAD.Pro to optimize time and resources, which resulted in a substantial reduction in the
costs of project delivery during the design phase and, more importantly, during the construction phase. The software’s 3D capabilities saved
40 percent in design cycle time, 50 percent in communication/travel costs, 75 percent in presentation approval time, and 20 percent in
The Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment commissioned FINNMAP Infra Oy to design a pilot program
for developing and testing model-based design and machine-control models on the improvement of Highway 25. The goal of this EUR 11. 5
million project was to develop LandXML/Inframodel terrain models and test them in machine control. This was to be executed in compliance
with the Finnish national BIM standard called Inframodel 3.
MicroStation and InRoads Suite ensured the compatibility of the roads and bridges through clash detection and resolution, which enhanced
risk management and made it easier to ensure compliance with regulations. Collaboration among project teams and stakeholders
was optimized with the software’s visualization and information mobility capabilities, and groundwater and historical protection site
requirements were integrated into the design from the start.
