The goal of this INR 70 billion National Highways Authority project awarded to AECOM India was to conduct a feasibility study and prepare
a feasibility report in respect to the development and construction of the highway and project facilities. This would enable prospective
bidders to more accurately assess project requirements. The Delhi-Jaipur Greenfield Expressway passes through seven districts of
Bentley MXROAD’s line-mode method managed the frequent and quick modifications to alignments and road components. With a
user-friendly style set that delivered accurate plotting of drawings, the software worked in conjunction with Google Earth to visualize
realistic base plans that interfaced with design. Bentley MXROAD helped AECOM India save 50 percent in man-months to design this
project as compared to other road design software.

A highway expansion project in Fort Worth, Texas, the North Tarrant Express segment is a joint effort by AECOM’s Dallas, Texas, office and
its Madrid Transportation Design Centre in Spain to provide design services to Ferrovial Agroman. For this USD 500,000 project, AECOM
implemented its innovative managed lanes concession model, which included road design, structures, traffic management, retaining wall
design, and drainage design.
MicroStation, InRoads Suite, GEOPAK Civil Engineering Suite, STAAD.Pro, and Project Wise were used for this project. AECOM overcame
communication challenges and ensured design coordination through Project Wise’s real-time information modeling. Project Wise Online
saved four months in startup time ( 80 percent of overall project) by hosting in the cloud instead of on a custom-built IT environment.
Project Wise Online also cost 19 percent less than an onsite system.
