Secretaría de Finanzas del Distrito Federal
programme for the Modernisation of the Mexico city cadastre
mexico City, mexico
This program for modernizing and updating the mexico city cadastre aimed to
improve the management of information relating to real estate in the city. This
allowed the Finance Department to perform more effective fiscal accounting
and levying of property tax based on reliable and accurate land census data. As
a result, citizens could fulfill their tax obligations to generate revenue for the
provision of public services.
Bentley map was used to create the mexico city cadastre. In the process of
updating data pertaining to each property, the project team used the software
to draw properties, buildings, and blocks of houses across the entire city. The
software also corroborated the quality of the mapping work and the 2D and
3D visualizations. Using Bentley map saved time in deployment of cadastre
personnel and delivery of the new land census.

official cityMap essen 2010
The city of essen in north rhine-Westphalia, Germany, prepared a
sophisticated citymap as part of its strategy to promote tourism. The campaign
portrayed essen as the “2010 european capital of culture.” The map’s up-to-date cartography represented the modern city of essen and its neighboring
cities. The citymap was suitable for printing as well as for accessing on
Internet and intranet geographic information systems.
microStation and cADscript provided all the options required to execute the
innovative features of the citymap. The project team symbolized more than
750 levels with cADscript. To keep the citymap up-to-date, the regional ruhr
Association used a web interface to access a centralized database, which
allowed collaboration with neighboring cities.
