INNOVATION IN BuILDINg
tanjong pinang Villa
Tanjong Pinang, malaysia
KH Architect designed a modern, three-story bungalow to be located on
reclaimed land near the ocean in malaysia. The client requested a sustainable
design with environmentally friendly features that take advantage of the sea
breezes. The conceptual design for the 5,000-square-foot home features an
internal courtyard with floor-to-ceiling sliding and folding shutters for cross-ventilation and daylighting.
Using microStation for 3D modeling, KH Architect explored various design
concepts in the context of the sun’s orientation and then performed detailed
modeling of the most sophisticated option. The modeling tools saved time
and made it easy to generate 2D drawings from the 3D model. The luxology
rendering engine created a graphic presentation that communicated the design
concept to the client.

c11 Aurecon centre commercial Building
The Aurecon centre is a 16,000-square-meter office building that is part of the
commercial development in Victoria Harbour’s master plan. The project goal
was to provide a highly efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally designed
building that conforms to the strict Dockland precinct development standards.
Aurecon is not only the major tenant, but also the structural and services
lend lease developed an energy-efficient under-floor mechanical system that
maximized office space without increasing the floor-to-floor levels and overall
building height. This was achieved by introducing structural efficiencies in the
way the slab and beams were designed. Bentley Architecture, microStation,
and project Wise were used for design development, drawing production, and
project file management.
