INNOVATION IN BuILDINg
Quantity surveying and evaluation
cel-AnA retained ArcHI TeKne to perform quantity surveying activities
on a 4,500-square-metre residential building in Italy designed by caprioglio
Associates Architecture. In addition, ArcHI TeKne periodically evaluated the
works carried out by the construction company pio Guaraldo Spa and
its subcontractors. The building has a basement level and seven above-
Using Bentley Architecture, 3D models were constructed to organize the levels
according to functional strata identifiable with the activities of the individual
subcontractors. The 3D building model integrates the models of each level and

Zero carbon Multifamily House
Featuring sustainable design principles, a new multifamily housing complex in
Italy is a low-energy, zero-carbon building designed using the whole-building
approach. The $3 million project is comprised of seven apartments in 1, 200
square meters of space.
ArKITen used microStation and Bentley Architecture to integrate architectural
design and energy engineering throughout the structure. The firm estimates
that the integrated, whole-building approach saved up to 30 percent of design
time and cost.
