INNOVATION IN ROADS

Mp/MH Border–dhule section of nH-03
Severe traffic delays and safety issues led to construction of a four-lane
national Highway from the madhya pradesh and maharashtra state border to
the Dhule section of nH-03 in maharashtra, India. The $272 million build-operate-transfer project included a complex flyover and road over bridge.
management of traffic during construction was a major challenge.
Feedback Infrastructure Services (formerly known as Feedback Ventures) used
mXroAD to produce alignment plans with the least impact on urban areas and
optimize profiles for at-grade improvements. A team of two people designed
horizontal and vertical alignments with 3D visualizations of highway, ramps,
and interchange. The software helped to reduce design costs by 30 percent and
design time by 25 percent.
completion of Highway 25
The completion of Highway 25 linked the cities of montreal and laval in
Quebec, canada. Developed as a public-private partnership between the
ministry of Transport and a private consortium, the $207 million project
comprised a four-lane, 7.2-kilometer section with a 1.2-kilometer, six-lane
toll bridge. As the engineering partner of the general contractor, GenIVAr
completed design and delivered plans and cost estimates for the road sections.
major obstacles included a 3.1-kilometer stretch below street level in montreal,
and relocation, expansion, and connection of roads and highways in laval.
Inroads was selected as the road design software due to its stability and ability
to process batch data and interconnect profile data. The solution contributed to
delivery two months ahead of schedule and added value to the GenIVAr team.
