Punto Ciemme Arreda designs, constructs, and decorates trade-fair stands. The
company uses MicroStation to show customers 3D images of the designs for
approval, thus bringing the design concept to reality. All the components of the
stand are visible in accurate detail, from partitions to tables and chairs.
This attention to detail ensures excellent customer service. Improved accuracy
using MicroStation has significantly reduced the lead time needed to produce
designs. MicroStation has saved an average of four hours per project.
Virtual Reality Helps Manage Assets
SIGEO has provided surveying and mapping support to the Slovak government
authority for highways by demonstrating the accuracy of 3D models. Two
sections of highway were selected as examples of different types of surfaces,
as well as meadows, forests, plains, slopes, and structures. The project cost
MicroStation and Bentley View were used to deliver a new approach to graphic
communications within the context of engineering design and creativity. All
3D data for the 3D map were measured terrestrially, using a nonprism method
(spatial objects) and global navigation satellite systems. The 3D visualization
allowed users to check and prepare needed inputs, reports, and conditions
without making on-site examinations.
