The Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FE WA) of Ajman, United
Arab Emirates, is responsible for the site supervision of installation works
for maintenance of transmission lines, distribution water networks, and
groundwater tanks in the Ajman water network. The utility also supervises
the operation of the distribution center, develops an annual plan for scheduled
maintenance, and prepares all reports and payments.
These supervisory and administrative duties have been made less time
consuming through the use of WaterCAD, which accelerates information
sharing and communications across project teams that include FE WA staff
and contractors. As a result, project outcomes are accelerated, ensuring that
FE WA’s more than 239,000 consumers are better served.
Utility Map Conversion and Integration
Huntsville, Alabama, United States
Huntsville Utilities is a publicly owned, not-for-profit utility serving over 161,000
customers in Huntsville, Ala. This project is a continuation of a previous project
that standardized processes and software across multiple departments using
Project Wise and Expert Designer. The next phase involves converting facility-and land-based maps to Bentley Electric, Bentley Gas, Bentley Water, and
Bentley Map formats.
Huntsville Utilities is combining facility information from three different
sources into a common mapping system. This significantly lowers upgrade and
maintenance costs, and helps the utility achieve sustainable growth, provide
low-cost utility services to customers, accelerate information sharing and
communications across project teams, and leverage its existing MicroStation
