Entrance Hall, Saint Joseph Clinic
The $60 million extension of the Saint Joseph Clinic in Bornem, Belgium, will
feature a new main entrance hall that connects two entrances on different
ground levels. The eye-catching green wall with real vegetation—a jardin
vertical —will compensate for the loss of garden space in the expansion and
improve the acoustics of the hall.
AAPROG used MicroStation for the development of the plans and a detailed
visualization of the hospital extension, which also includes additional medical
and technical facilities. The visualizations were produced with MicroStation’s

Created as Imagined ( 1)
The design for the Padova Givas project in Saonara, Italy, improved ergonomics
and safety of the interior while focusing particular attention on aesthetics
and style. Although the budget did not allow for making physical models or
prototypes for client approval, 3D modeling enabled the designer to suggest
various details and proportions.
A.G. A. used MicroStation to demonstrate proposed solutions to the client,
who then more clearly understood the design intent. As the project reached
production, rendered views of materials, finishes, workmanship, and assembly
were produced from the 3D models. The designer created conceptual, detailed,
and photorealistic visualization that guaranteed the end product would be
exactly as envisioned.
