COMMUNICATING THROUGH VISUALIZATION
Kevinson Trading Trust
Auditorium of Chengchi University
The architectural designer submitted a conceptual design for the interior
renovation of an auditorium and entry hall at National Chengchi University
in Taipei, Taiwan. The government-funded project had a strict budget limit of
$800,000, so the designer had to demonstrate how alternative materials and
construction methods would impact the cost.
Using Bentley Architecture to develop 3D-rendered images for the design
competition enabled the designer to visualize the space and communicate this
vision and the design alternatives to the client.

K2 Business Park
Moscow, Russia
Located outside Moscow in the Leninsky District, the $770 million K2 Business
Park consists of six office buildings, each with 17,500 square meters of rentable
space and an attached 21,500-square-meter parking garage. Each office
building and parking garage is connected with two below-ground parking decks.
The business park is designed to operate as a single complex, with amenities
distributed throughout the ground floors.
The local permitting authority required the use of Russian-certified design
software. Therefore, S TAAD.Pro was used with RAM Concept, RAM Structural
System, and Bentley Structural. Integration among the products allowed
designers to conduct structural analyses without repeat modeling and create
floor plans while continuing on with the design. STAAD.Pro’s extensive design
code library ensured conformance with Russian code.
