COMMUNICATING THROUGH VISUALIZATION
Ginger SA
Paita Sud Connector
This project in Noumea, France, encompassed the design and construction of
a new four-lane connector road between the VE2 express highway and the
RM2 road, including two 20-meter roundabouts and a 42-meter multiple-span
precast bridge.
MXROAD enabled Ginger to create the multi-axes project and was critical in the
complex earthworks that featured slopes that depended on the depth or height
of ground interface. Variable thicknesses of same-lane subgrade layers were
calculated according to cut-or-fill or to geological layers.

Congressional Cemetery
Washington, D.C., United States
The historic Congressional Cemetery in downtown Washington, D.C., is
undergoing a $2 million program to reinvigorate the landscape. Greenhorne &
O’Mara created a design for the cemetery showing a new landscape area that
serves several distinctly different purposes. The design team collaborated with
the client in real time by using MicroStation coupled with electronic robotic
survey data collection and a graphic software platform.
As the site design progressed, additional design elements and must-have
amenities were requested. MicroStation enabled the designers to easily
visualize each change and quickly and accurately create a professional quality
exhibit to present to the client for review. The 3D images, elevation, and
sectional views communicated the design intent better than customary 2D
plans.
