Dvorak architekti s.r.o.
Sestajovice, Czech Republic
Dvorak architekti designed and built a residence with two significant
challenges. The site was very narrow and long and the client requested a
double-height living room without increasing the volume and cost of the
house. Using a MicroStation-centered design methodology, the firm shortened
lead-in times, saving approximately 20 percent of the project time.
The 3D model enabled tight control of the overall design, the flexibility to react
to changing requirements, confidence in the accuracy of the design, as well
as the ability to produce a distinctive design, even on a small project, and to
communicate effectively with the client and subsequently with contractors
and construction workers.

the primary goal of this project was to build a 3D model of the Phoenix Building
in Dubai and generate the bill of quantities for it in standard measurement
format. The deadline for completion was very tight, but EiGEN managed to
deliver the project in two days.
The firm developed the 3D model in MicroStation and used its MicroStation-based QSoft application to generate the quantities. QSoft integrates and
indexes every aspect of estimating, estimate measuring, and bill of quantities
generation. EiGEN saved 72 man-hours and AED 7000 using this method.
