the fourth largest city in the netherlands, utrecht has about 288,500
inhabitants living on 96. 3 square kilometers. The municipality currently runs
four spatial programs, one of which, the Spatial Developments and Functions
(PROF) program, oversees the spatial developments of the city.
PROF data used to be managed in an Excel spreadsheet and had no spatial
reference. Bentley developed a module that consists of a spatial database
and GIS viewer to query and publish data of all physical-spatial projects that
are part of the PROF program. The PROF module provides a total overview of
project data in relation to cadastral, environmental, base map, topographical,
and aerial photo data for more efficient review of policy objectives.

Geodetic Control Information System
the goal of this project was to upgrade an out-of-date, inefficient, and
nonclient-server information system and manage more than 90,000
geodetic controls in four different national reference systems around
the Slovak Republic. The new system would provide not only geodetic
control management, but also complex task management ranging from the
commencement of geodetic control to providing specific information to states,
educational institutions, and other geodetic companies.
Webmap services use different raster maps, thousands of documents and
photographs, and archive documents together into an easy-to-use, workflow
tasks-based solution. The system is maintained and accessed through a special
workflow task system using Windows .NE T application and Bentley Map.
