randweg A2/A67 Eindhoven
Every day, more than 70,000 vehicles use the randweg Eindhoven motorway in
the Netherlands. Motorways A2 and A67 will be upgraded from two to four
lanes, improving air quality, reducing pollution, and eliminating some of the
noise that impacts the 725,000 inhabitants who live in the surrounding area.
Using Bentley MXROAD, the firm completed an integrated 3D design model
on which work preparation and implementation was based. Bentley MXROAD
models can be read directly within the computer of the groundwork machines,
so failure costs are minimized. The model was also used to provide various
disciplines with 3D insight into possible challenges so they could be planned for
well in advance and solutions could be implemented before construction.

the idaho transportation Department upgraded its core Bentley engineering
design toolset and trained its operators in the use of this software through an
Enterprise Training Subscription. Most training was delivered on site and some
was delivered as distance learning using Bentley LEARN. Improved workflows,
standards, and more powerful software enable designers, engineers, and their
managers to deliver construction plans faster and with higher quality.
Consultants and contractors benefit from the unified CAD standards and
deliverables that use the most recent versions of Bentley software. The traveling
public throughout the state of Idaho also benefit from an improved transportation
system delivered sooner, at a lower cost, and with improved quality.
