Occupancy and Business Continuity Plan Database Deployment colgate-palmolive company
With more than 25,000 employees spread over 20 countries,
Colgate-Palmolive Company is an $11.4 billion consumer
products powerhouse. A critical component of its business
continuity plan is to temporarily relocate senior management-level staff to nearby Piscataway, New Jersey, in the event of
a New York City facility closure.
Using Bentley solutions, including Bentley Facilities Planner,
Bentley Facilities Manager, Project Wise, and others, legacy
data sources have been unified into an SQL database using
New EDIM embraer emp Bras aeron sa
industry-standard best practices for data modeling. As a result,
the overall value of the facilities data has increased by formalizing its structure, improving accuracy and timeliness, enhancing
its ability to be leveraged for future analysis requirements, and
making it more accessible within the enterprise. The project
saved more than $200,000 by eliminating outside consultant/
contract fees and 95 to 99 percent time savings to produce
facilities operations reports.
Embraer’s electronic document interchange management
(EDIM) system consolidated the management, creation, and
revision of graphic illustrations for aircraft manuals enterprisewide through a single interface. This increased quality and
productivity in the document creation and revision process.
The ease of use of Project Wise as a graphical environment
enabled the automation of the process because legacy data
did not need format conversion. The system, which is located
in Brazil, can be updated at any time without any loss or
degradation of the information. In addition, the customized
interface connects with the EDIM server online through the
Internet, so a collaborative process is established by the
easy sharing among work groups no matter where the team
members are located.
