Bursik House dvorak architekti s.r.o.
The Bursik house is a holiday cottage in Vysoke and Jizerou,
Czech Republic. Situated on a hillside, the house is at the
northern edge of its site, open to the south and the valley
below. The house has three elevations: a closed northern
elevation with the entrance being the only opening, a partially
open side elevation with an extended roof creating a covered
veranda, and a main southern elevation both open and closed.
The photorealistic renderings of MicroStation helped persuade
local authorities to grant permission for this project, and the
3D model will serve as the main reference point throughout
the project. Use of Bentley’s interoperable solutions made it
easy to integrate all design disciplines and, thus, led to total
coordination and integration of all design input. This resulted
in the complete understanding of the building and its
components.
610-Poole Harbour, Bridge Regeneration Project hKr architects
Located in the Mercantile Quarter of Poole in Dorset, United
Kingdom, the Poole Bridge Regeneration project is a £ 125
million project that will transform neglected small industrial
units along the waterfront. The project will include a significant
amount of public space, a small luxury hotel, and a mixture
of residential and retail units. A new bridge will form part of
the development and the provision for bars and restaurants
will enhance the ambience of the area.
A key concern of the project was the visual impact of such a
large development on the existing streetscape. MicroStation
played an important role in delivering the final development
proposal, accepting large file sizes and allowing for constant
editing of the model. The ease with which changes could be
integrated into the proposals was a major factor in the success
on the project.
