At ARChinteractive, California Fitness members are consistently interacting with shoppers in retail outlets, workers in the
offices, and pedestrians on the street. The design of this
building is such that many different kinds of activities will
be happening at the same time and at the same place.
A foyer leading to the auditorium is portrayed as a floating
glass box. With a spider-clamped glass curtain wall all
around, the foyer hovers over the swimming pool without
any columns underneath. It cantilevers out from the girder of
the auditorium and the floating lighting effects underneath
the glass box make the swimming experience totally different.

An Interchange “Przyczolkowa” in Wilanow District, Warsaw Warsaw university of technology

Piotr Lukasz Czerski
This project involves the design of the Przyczolkowa inter-
change in the Wilanow district of Warsaw. It is situated on
the South Beltway of Warsaw. Bentley Descartes was used
to perform raster-to-vector conversion. Needless pixels were
then cleaned from the map and most of the lines, objects,
and inscriptions were vectorized.
When the vector map was finished, MicroStation and
InRoads were used to create a digital model terrain using a
random-points method. Next, the shape of the access and
main roads were designed, taking into consideration Polish
regulations, guidelines, and build law. Three preliminary
variants were prepared and the best was used to create
the detail design. Topographic features in the design are
the same as the actual interchange.
