SSOE, Inc.
In 2006, SSOE set the goal of implementing every project
using BIM by 2009. SSOE has grown by more than 15
percent in each of the last three years and the staff has
increased by nearly 50 percent. A busy staff in diverse
geographic locations could make training difficult and
costly to schedule and provide.
VECO Alaska Inc
Bentley Institute’s blended learning helped address these
challenges with Web-based distance learning, OnDemand
eLearning, and customized training. With this plan, new
employees quickly become proficient in MicroStation and
existing employees are able to accomplish more work in
less time by being trained on the latest advancements,
including BIM.
having a staff that is highly skilled in Bentley DigitalPlant suite
of software is a priority for VECO’s Design Technologies Group,
so during 2006, VECO used Bentley Institute courseware to
educate its staff to achieve improved administration, setup,
and user efficiency. A blend of customized on-site, off-site,
and BE Conference learning was employed.
Over the past two years, VECO’s global training program
has executed an estimated 175 classes with an average of
seven individuals attending each class. Leveraging Bentley
Institute to deliver in-house training has saved the firm an
estimated $161,000 in training costs and travel expenses.
