IRIS Overbetuwe gemeente overbetuwe
Overbetuwe is a growing municipality, but its administrative
support staff can’t grow proportionately. This means it must
increase its efficiency by using advanced IT solutions. To
facilitate this, it has joined Bentley’s Municipal License
Subscription (MLS) program and Enterprise Training
Subscription program.
The MLS offers Overbetuwe all the soft ware it needs to
design and manage its infrastructure for a fixed annual fee
based on population. The program will help it improve
productivity and reduce administrative costs by outfitting
its entire mapping and engineering organizations with fully
integrated soft ware for GIS and engineering workflows.
Standard MicroStation Deployment Across Different Office Locations and Workflows Warren and mahoney
The goal of this project was to develop an IT strategy that will
enable the firm to quickly and efficiently deploy new Bentley
technology across three offices as it becomes available. It will
rely on the use of file replication and XXCOPY software. The
strategy must allow the firm to maintain existing installations
without interrupting production while providing upgrades
and improvements.
With this new strategy, MicroStation is launched through a
script, which checks for updates and downloads any new
changes to the user’s machine. If a user has tampered with
the custom setup, all changes are efficiently restored to
standard. Updates and restores are automated through
XXCOPY software. Project work is stored on servers that
replicate project DGN data among the firm’s three offices.
