Albany Millersburg Joint Water Supply Project ch2m hiLL
With the help of Ch2M hILL Albany and Millersburg, Oregon,
developed a joint project that will save approximately $9
million in capital costs during a 20-year period, as well as
20 percent in long-term operations and maintenance costs.
The primary objective was to produce a quality set of contract
documents that would provide these communities with high-
quality water supply facilities that could be constructed with
minimum impact to existing operations. Another goal was to
streamline information management by collecting and
managing electronic data in a database for use in utility
management applications.
InRoads, Bentley Structural, and Bentley Architecture 3D
modeling solutions contributed to efficient early siting of the
facilities. With all of the disciplines working in a 3D model,
the quality of the design improved and the change order
rate due to errors and omissions was reduced.
Hwaseung Project Korea district heating engineering co.
Korea District heating Engineering Co. (KDhEC) completed
the heating infrastructure for a new city in hwaseung Kyunggi,
South Korea. KDhEC designed the overall infrastructure,
managed the 3D modeling for the project, and implemented
engineering facility management for the project’s lifecycle
KDhEC used Project Wise Integration Server to manage files
and models among more than 50 partners. Operators and
infrastructure maintenance managers shared one design and
all history files were gathered in one master KDhEC archive.
Other DigitalPlant solutions managed the 3D modeling and
reference files automatically, which reduced hardware invest-
ment costs.
