Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project mott macdonald pvt Ltd
The objective of the Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project is to
provide a healthier and improved environment for people
living in the city of Mumbai, India, while minimizing the impact
of wastewater on the natural environment. This will be achieved
by increasing the quality and reliability of wastewater
collection, treatment, and disposal.
Mumbai’s water, sewer, and drainage network is almost
150 years old and the municipality did not have updated
information on its existing facilities. Using the modeling and
analysis capabilities of MicroStation, SewerGEMS, and
StormCAD, the Mott MacDonald team will prepare a detailed
project report. Subsequently, they will use the models to help
complete eight separate wastewater treatment projects that
will develop a modern water supply and sewerage system
for Mumbai.
