faster on a very large set of new and existing
plans. In addition, it facilitates batch printing, to
paper or PDF files, a complete set of the 220
plans of the project overnight.
The project encompassed the refurbishment of the
entire building complex occupied by the Belgian
Public Broadcasting Company VRT. It included an
internal reorganization, the development and
implementation of digital broadcasting technologies, and the renewal of the facades and techniques to decrease energy loss.
Fast and dynamic 3D modeling, visualization,
and animation of the project had to be generated
daily with constantly changing guidelines.
Because the data from the various engineers was
centralized on a single platform, ideas could
be quickly visualized and presented in the appro-
priate rendering mode. ARCS could also present
the project to the client and the employees
with Google Earth. ;
The project will last about six years and will be implemented so as not to interrupt the activities of the
VRT. Documents and files have to be coordinated
between 12 consulting and engineering teams working in different environments and languages, with
different platforms and engineering applications.
