The goal of this project was to create a wastewater resource management system,
WebGraf, for the municipality of Gentofte.
The plan was to use Internet technology to
automate the process of collecting data,
assuring uniformity in the data, and making it
easy to access.
Before WebGraf was
available, maps used in
the field had to be plotted. Time was wasted
driving back to get different maps when the first
lacked needed information. Now maps and
assignments are easy to
access, even in the field.
The basic registration of the sewage system is
in Bentley Wastewater, so Gentofte needed a
system that could fully interact with the DGN
files and the database. Bentley Geo Web
Publisher was selected as the best platform
on which to build WebGraf.
Everyone now has
access to the same
updated maps. All assign-
ments can be viewed in a
map with two mouse clicks. The infra-
structure can be viewed along with all
accessible information about it with
one more click. The maps are dynamic
and a variety of views are available. ;
The project began in May 2001, WebGraf was
in daily use in January 2003, and the project
was finished in September 2004.
