A Complete Multi-Utility
AEM Cremona Spa
This project was the implementation of a
geospatial system, SIT AEMCR, that could
manage the AEM Cremona’s many responsibilities, including waste collection, environment management, utility networks, road signals, transportation, and so on. It was started
in June 2004 and the first phase was completed in March 2005.
AEM Cremona required a database framework able to easily manage data from different sources, geospatial data retention and
links to the relevant alphanumeric data, and a
survey process for data collection in the field.
As of March 2005, Bentley Geospatial solutions have been customized to implement
and maintain the geospatial database, manage
network elements connectivity, and publish
survey links to the key codes identifying consumers. Also, collected data have been organized, the database populated, and personnel
trained on the new system.
Already, the quality of AEM Cremona’s services has improved internally and externally. The
system saves time and improves performance. The system solved interoperability
problems between different products, and
allows users to import, read, and edit native
data from different tools.
A ProjectWise implementation has solved
various enterprise problems and optimized
the sharing and management of information.
ProjectWise also facilitates the management
of network validation. ;
