such as reporting street or sewer maintenance or entering data for a park license.
With the implementation of FlexiWeb, the
entire SDS Oracle Spatial database has been
opened to all Eindhoven employees, and hundreds use it daily. ;
As a solution, ISIS developed FlexiMap, software that runs on Bentley Geo Web Publisher
and can serve spatial information in the following formats:
• Raster maps
• Flash objects
• XML data
FlexiMap offers municipalities such as
Eindhoven a product-specific interface for
Bentley’s Geo Web Publisher. This enables the

The goal of this project was to improve the
availability and flow of information within a
complex local government organization of
3,500 employees to prevent or manage possible catastrophes. The result, the Basis
Voorziening Gegevens (BVG), is one of the
first projects in Holland using a large-scale
geospatial datawarehouse.
The BVG was created using an Oracle 9i spa-
tial database and a Bentley solution for
intranet viewing. In this environment, data is
integrated from a large number of processes
and source databases. For example, using a
simple address or the name of an inhabitant
or local company, the BVG discloses a wide
variety of detailed information extracted
