To do this, InterGen needed a system that
was easy to use and would provide quick
access to information with minimum training. This is important because during an
unplanned shutdown, the company could
incur major losses and penalties of £ 100,000
or more per day, so it is imperative that no
time is wasted looking for the right information.
With the use of Bentley technology, documents and information created during the
design of the plant have been loaded into
ProjectWise, giving immediate access to
plant information as soon as the plant
becomes operational. The use and structuring
of this core information has major benefits to
the operations and maintenance departments. The sourcing and structuring of this
information would previously have taken a
number of weeks for three or four technicians. ;
