Global Enterprise Licensing
The Hallen Layout System (HLS) is the foundation of Volkswagen’s factory design system. Built upon Bentley Project Wise, HLS
supports the layout, construction, and operations of all of Volkswagen’s manufacturing
plants. HLS was critical in Volkswagen’s
recent design of the Autostadt in Wolfsburg
and the Gläserne Manufaktur in Leipzig.
Volkswagen AG joined the Enterprise
License Subscription program with a contract for its VW-Group, which includes
AUDI, VW-Slovakia and VW-Mexico. The program grants Volkswagen AG unlimited access
to Bentley’s entire software portfolio for the
global deployment of technology within an
efficient, transparent cost structure. ;
Infrastructure Pilot Project
Oak Ridge, Tennessee, U.S.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is
the U.S. Department of Energy’s largest
energy research laboratory, with more than
$600 million in annual budget and 4. 8 million square feet of buildings. A modernization effort is underway that will reduce the
current useable area by 1.8 million square
feet and add 600,000 square feet of new
building area. This is the ideal time to introduce a new facility management tool to
more easily manage the tremendous volume
of information, and at the same time consolidate the nearly 100 facility-related databases into an easy-to-use, readily accessible
tool. ORNL is a standalone municipality with
very diverse facilities, ranging from nuclear
reactors and waste treatment facilities, to
vivariums and cafeterias.
The primary goal of the project is to pilot
Bentley Facilities Manager, MicroStation, and
Bentley Project Wise in one building.
Bentley’s managed environment capabilities
were the basis for choosing the Bentley
suite of products to address the needs at
ORNL, which requires the accommodation
of both facility data and documents.
Project Wise is a basic requirement of the
central facilities management information
technology infrastructure. ;
